Donatech will be sending two attendees to the JMR TD Industry Day at Newport News, VA on Friday 11/18:

A summary of our work with FACE, the Future Airborne Capability Environment Working Group, in the area of V&V follows.
Verification and Validation:
The cost of Verification and Validation, and the impact it has on overall project success, require that it be considered upfront in any program that wishes to remain cost effective while developing a quality project. One of the core concepts in FACE is the ability to create fully tested and compliant components that can be re-used later. This includes the verification and validation data. Software libraries that can be linked into components can also be created this way. New components built with pre-tested sub-components would be far cheaper to develop and test.
Donatech V&V Capabilities:

Donatech has been working with the FACE Consortium to help define the means by which software suppliers may gain FACE conformance for their products, in order to support defined interoperability within systems, platform-independence across systems and lower implementation cost.

Donatech has a long history of utilizing code coverage technologies in order to comply with the DO-178b guidelines.

Donatech has utilized personnel management techniques to reduce overall test time of manual testing by 20%

Donatech has converted thousands of manual tests into automated tests, reducing verification man hours to a fraction of the original costs.

Donatech has developed a plan to incorporate validation into interface verification in order to reduce the number of errors discovered in flight test and fielded equipment.

Donatech has presented ways to incorporate minor design changes into military programs in order to reduce the cost of DO-178b style testing.

Donatech is working toward a solution to generate code coverage data whereby the test personnel can use the same process they use for qualification testing. This solution automates the complexity of the instrumentation and reporting process, allowing code coverage results to be generated quickly and efficiently.
